Welcome to the Deloitte Belgium Annual Report of 2015. This year’s report focuses on the theme of “Tomorrow is Today”, the central message of a campaign we launched in March 2015. The pace of change seems only to increase each year, and all businesses must adapt if they are to address the challenges - and seek the opportunities - arising from disruptive innovation.
At the same time, some things remain constant. As a professional services firm, our business is essentially about having the right people to give good advice to our clients. We need to understand and be clear on how we can make an impact that matters – for our clients, for our people and for wider society.
It is integral to our sense of purpose as an organisation to make sure that what we do has a positive impact. After all, the Deloitte leadership style and culture is strongly shaped by our partner spirit, which includes a sense of shared responsibility. Each person takes pride in delivering to the best of their abilities, working together and drawing on the unique strengths of each individual in order to achieve more as a team.
At its heart, a good partnership is about trust - trust built on the open, honest and respectful communication which is crucial to so many aspects of our business. Communication is the foundation of our coaching culture. It is fundamental to our capacity to innovate. It is fundamental to our relationships with clients and with external stakeholders such as regulators. It is also a vital aspect of ensuring we always meet the high quality levels expected of us – and that we demand of ourselves.
